Andrea Hunter and Andrew Trites (Hunter and Trites 2001) initiated an annotated bibliography of Steller sea lion literature to facilitate searching publications by subject, and for finding papers that are relevant to testing the leading hypotheses proposed to explain the population decline in Alaska. The following on-line annotated bibliography builds on their work by expanding the list of subject areas, and by including the most up to date list of published literature pertaining to Steller sea lions. Should users note missing literature, we would appreciate being notified so that it can be added to the ever growing list.
