Biography
Sylvie Guénette is new to the marine mammals research. She is currently involved in using ecosystem modelling to determine the causes of decline of the Steller sea lions in Alaska.

She was previously working at the Sea Around Us Project, doing ecosystem modelling and rebuilding historical catches. Her interests are in understanding the impact of fishing on ecosystems and the use of marine reserves for conservation and as a fisheries management tool.
