He is responsible for organizing projects and collecting data from studies conducted with captive pinnipeds at the Vancouver Aquarium research facility. His research interests include predator-prey interactions, foraging ecology, and bio-telemetry. Previously, he worked as an lab / field technician studying population ecology and foraging ecology of polar bears and ringed seals in Hudson Bay. As a senior undergrad, Chad attended the Bamfield Marine Station Fall Program where he studied the distribution patterns and behavioural ecology of harbour seals on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
